It’s that time of year again where we get together and talk cattle. The Australian Salers Association AGM for 2022 is being held in Tasmania on the weekend of the 19th /20th of November at Burnie.
Programme for the weekend.
Saturday the 19th of November
Bus pick up from the Beachfront Voyager Motor Inn, Burnie, at 9:00AM, where we will be transported by our host to our fist destination for the day, the property of RC and MM Rabe. Here we will view a selection of heifers and steers being grown out to meet market requirements.
Lunch and refreshments will be served by our hosts here also.
After lunch we will move onto the property of NL and KE Rabe where they will showcase their breeding program and personal direction for their cattle.
Following afternoon tea we will be transported back to the Beachfront Voyager where we will have time to freshen up before the AGM in the conference room at 6:00PM (Vic/NSW time). If you are not able to be there in person please feel free to join via the Zoom link. If you have not received the link already please contact your state representative so they can forward it to you.
Once formalities are complete we will reconvene in the restaurant of the Beachfront Voyager for dinner.
Sunday the 20th of November
“Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise” and today is no exception. Sunday will be an early start, as we depart from Burnie’s Beachfront Voyager Inn at 6:30AM. This will enable us to reach Greg Downham’s property for a farm tour and lunch. Greg is a long time user of the Salers breed in his farming operations and has won many accolades for his stock in this time.
Our return will be via the Launceston airport and then back to Burnie by approximately 6:00pm which then completes the official part of the weekend.
If you have any questions please contact Nathan Rabe on 0417 270 580. Please leave a message and he will get back to you if he is working or out of phone reception.
Safe travels everyone and see you either in person or online for the AGM.
