Young bulls checking out their surrounds

Beef week was a success for Cara Park Salers.  Cara Park Salers participated in (for the second time) the Stock and Land Beef Week Field days. Which was held on the 31st of January at the Mount Gambier show grounds.

The day was a great success for Cara Park Salers. Our success can be counted in numerous ways.

Part of the Cara Park Salers display at the Stock and Land Beef Week

  • The forecasted over cast cool day didn’t eventuate and instead we were given a sunny warm day with a little breeze.
  • Consequently the grounds and animals all looked at their best.
  • All the animals on display from Cara Park Salers loaded, unloaded and settled into their new surrounds for the day quickly. For most of the animals on display it was their first off farm outing.
  • A steady flow of people tricked into the Mount Gambier show grounds to view all studs and breeds on display including the Cara Park Salers display.
  • the day climaxed with the sale of Cara Park Lindsay.

On display from Cara Park Salers was a selection of rising 1 year old heifers, a sound group of rising 1 year old bulls and a rising 2 year old bull (Cara Park Lindsay).  The sires of these animals were a mix of old and new genetics and a home grown sire.

Cara Park Lindsay in particular created a lot of comment especially from those who had seen him on the show circuit back in October 2016 on how much he had filled out and matured in such a short time.
